ABC

Hayden Markowitz is taking accountability for his actions.

The Bachelorette contestant was eliminated during Monday night’s episode after it was found out that he made some vulgar comments about Bachelorettes Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, including referring to them as “b******.”

Taking to Instagram, the 29-year-old penned a lengthy apology, that began, “For those who watched tonight’s episode, you saw me at my absolute worst and lowest moment.”

“I have always tried to carry myself with humility and respect for others. However, my complete lapse of judgement was not only disappointing but it was absolutely unacceptable,” he continued. “I genuinely want to express my deepest apologies to both Gabby and Rachel for my actions.”

Hayden went on to say that he takes “full responsibility for not being the man I was raised to be in those moments” and said that he does respect both Gabby and Rachel.

“I really hate how this season ended, but this experience was not one that I was mentally or emotionally prepared for with the current things going on in my life,” he admitted. “Despite how everything transpired, it was an amazing experience that I will never forget and will learn from.”

“I wish Gabby and Rachel all the best and hope they can accept my apology!” Hayden concluded.

Marilyn Monroe estate defends Ana de Armas casting after criticism

Netflix

The Marilyn Monroe estate has come to the defense of Ana de Armas.

After the trailer dropped for Blonde, the upcoming drama in which de Armas is cast as Monroe, many viewers took issue with the actress’ accent and criticized her for not sounding more like the Hollywood legend.

Despite what some people think, Variety reports that Marc Rosen, president of entertainment at Authentic Brands Group, which owns the Marilyn Monroe Estate, applauded the casting decision.

“Marilyn Monroe is a singular Hollywood and pop culture icon that transcends generations and history,” he said. “Any actor that steps into that role knows they have big shoes to fill. Based on the trailer alone, it looks like Ana was a great casting choice as she captures Marilyn’s glamour, humanity and vulnerability. We can’t wait to see the film in its entirety!”

Based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates and also starring Oscar winner Adrien Brody and Emmy winner Julianne Nicholson, Blonde debuts September 28 on Netflix.

Sydney Sweeney says she can’t afford to take a break from acting

HBO/Eddy Chen

Sydney Sweeney is keeping it real when it comes to finances and being in the entertainment industry.

Despite being cast in some of the hottest shows on television right now, like HBO Max’s Euphoria and The White Lotus, and an upcoming role in Marvel’s Madame Web, the 24-year-old actress tells The Hollywood Reporter that she can’t afford to take time off just yet.

“If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have income to cover that. I don’t have someone supporting me,” Sweeney confessed.

“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals,” she explained. “The established stars still get paid, but I have to give five percent to my lawyer, ten percent to my agents, tree percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month and that’s more than my mortgage.”

Sweeney added that not earning enough to take some time away from her craft is why she’s taken on some brand deals.

“If I just acted, I wouldn’t be able to afford my life in LA,” the star adds. “I take deals because I have to.”

Lea Michele pays tribute to late ‘Glee’ costar Cory Monteith

Lea Michele kicked off her An Evening With Lea Michele: Life in Music tour with a tribute to her late boyfriend and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith.

During her first stop in Washington, D.C. last week, the actress performed the same song her Glee character, Rachel Berry, sang during the show’s tribute episode to Monteith and his character, Finn Hudson — Bob Dylan‘s “Make You Feel My Love.”

Recalling how Glee creator Ryan Murphy let her pick the tribute song, at the July 20 show, Michele said, “I’m grateful that [Murphy] asked me. Because it needed to be something that felt real for me,” according to E! News.

She also shared how the tune happened to be one that she and Monteith listened to together and how their real life together inspired moments from the touching episode, noting that, “A lot of what I say to [Matthew Morrison‘s] character in that classroom were exact words I said to Ryan after everything.”

The Funny Girl star also revealed that she’s never watched the tribute episode, which was titled “The Quarterback.”

“It’s the only one I’ve not seen,” Michele admitted. “Because I think if I don’t watch it, it just kind of feels like Finn is still there. So this [song] is very special.”

Monteith died in 2013. He was 31.

Did Candace Cameron Bure respond to being called “rude” by JoJo Siwa?

ABC — Netflix

Candace Cameron Bure has seemingly responded to being called “rude” by JoJo Siwa.

Taking to Instagram Monday, the Full House alum shared a scripture to her Story, which she attributed from Isaiah 26:4. “Trust in the Lord always,” read the verse, which was set to a backdrop of yellow flowers. Then again, it could all be a coincidence.

The post comes just one day after Siwa participated in a TikTok challenge where they briefly showed a picture of Bure when the prompt “rudest celebrity I’ve met” appeared. Siwa also named Miley Cyrus as the “nicest” celebrity they’ve met and Zendaya as their crush in the short clip captioned, “Pool day = exposed hahaha.”

Ashton Kutcher on ‘That ’90s Show’: “It’s funny and it’s weird”

Robin L Marshall/Getty Images

Ashton Kutcher is opening up about returning for the That ’70s Show reboot.

Kutcher, who played Michael Kelso in the original series, headed back to the basement for the reboot That ’90s Show, and he told Entertainment Tonight that the whole experience was “insane.”

“We shot it,” the actor, 44, revealed. “It’s funny and it’s weird. It was super nostalgic and really odd. Going back into the basement — just going back into the set was weird. And then being around everyone, it’s just bizarre.”

“It’s just — it’s insane,” he added. “The fact that that happened is insane.”

That ’70s Show ran for eight seasons from 1998 until 2006. Alongside Kutcher, the series also starred his now wife Mila Kunis, Wilmer Valderrama, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Debra Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, and Tommy Chong, all of whom are set to return for the new show.

A release date for That ’90s Show, which will air on Netflix, has not yet been announced.
