Pentatonix/RCA RecordsWe spent 2020 dancing to Dua Lipa's album Future Nostalgia. Now, Pentatonix is throwing it back to the '90s, with a club-tastic medley that's the perfect soundtrack for a six-minute dance party.
In their new video, the group, dressed in their best '90s club styles, sings their way through an amazing 17 dance floor favorites a cappella style, including "Around the World (La La La La La)," the ATC song that Ava Max interpolates in her current hit, "My Head & My Heart." O.K., it came out in 2000, but close enough.
Other smashes you'll hear include Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight," Cher's "Believe," C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" and, of course, "What Is Love" by Haddaway.

Watch Maren Morris get in "The Middle" of some mac 'n cheese & her Spotify awards plaque
Rachel Murray/Getty Images for TargetBecause they're silver and concave, the plaques that Spotify gives to artists for racking up one billion streams of one of their tracks have inspired some musicians to turn theminto dinner plates. Now Maren Morris is jumping on that bandwagon.
On her socials, Maren wrote, "Said I'd do it," alongside a black-and-white video of herself cooking mac 'n cheese, dumping it on her plaque, and eating it while wearing a fancy dress.

Photo By The 32nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards/Getty Images for GLAADLast night at the GLAAD Media Awards, Sam Smith was named Outstanding Music Artist, but Katy Perry, who presented them with the honor, took the opportunity to sum up the past year in a way that we all could relate to.
"Music helped us get through this very difficult time, when not much else did," Katy said in her remarks. "I mean, our fabulous clothes? They just stayed on the hangers while we lived in sweats every single day."
"Some of us even went up a couple of sizes -- I did, I also had a baby," she noted. "And the sex dried up! Yeah!"
"Well, I hope it all comes back, but maybe not that baking bread thing, that was kind of a weird thing," Katy continued. She then went on to salute all the incredible music artists who "gave us moments of hope, happiness, resilience and even just plain ol' escapism."
Accepting the award from London, Sam noted, "I'm so honored to be receiving this this year...it really means a lot to me. This has been such a tough year for everyone....and for me, music has remained this constant force of unity throughout the world for people."

As a Def Jam signee, he was a crucial member of the Ruff Ryders Dynasty, which birthed trailblazing artists such as Swizz Beatz, Eve, The Lox, and more.

During an episode of N.O.R.E's Drink Champspodcast last February, X stated the project would feature current and past generations of artists including Benny The Butcher, Conway the Machine, Usher, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, U2'sBono, and a posthumous track with the late Pop Smoke.

Nike settles lawsuit against Lil Nas X's "Satan Shoes"
Filip Custic @filipcustic1The “Satan Shoes” saga has come to a close.
Nike has settled its lawsuit against MSCHF, the design company that teamed up with Lil Nas X to create a reimagined devil-inspired Air Max 97.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Nike and MSCHF agreed to a voluntary recall of the “Satan Shoes,” as well as the “Jesus Shoes” MSCHF sold in 2019.
"If any purchasers were confused, or if they otherwise want to return their shoes, they may do so for a full refund," Nike said according to EW. "Purchasers who choose not to return their shoes and later encounter a product issue, defect, or health concern should contact MSCHF, not Nike."
MSCHF sold 665 pairs of the sneakers for $1,018 each within minutes, but had been saving the 666th pair for a giveaway. The shoes were tied to Lil Nas X’s music video for his song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” Lil Nas was not named as a defendant in the March 29 lawsuit.
"... Having already achieved its artistic purpose, MSCHF recognized that settlement was the best way to allow it to put this lawsuit behind it so that it could dedicate its time to new artistic and expressive projects," an attorney for MSCHF told EW.
Watch Kelly Clarkson prove yet again that she's the Queen of TMI
Weiss Eubanks/NBCUniversalIf you ever doubted that Kelly Clarkson has absolutely no filter, she just proved it once again on her talk show on Thursday, where she shared an incident that should be in the dictionary next to the phrase "TMI."
Kelly was interviewing country music star Clint Black, who shared that in an upcoming episode of his own talk show, fellow country star Sara Evans relates a story about how she once had to pee onstage. "How many of us haven't peed on stage?" Clint joked.
That inspired Kelly to share a story about a similar incident that happened to her, but as she put it, "It wasn't pee, my friend."
"I got some kinda wrecked up from some kinda food and I literally, we were in an arena, and I shouldn't tell this story, but like I said my man, I don't have a filter," Kelly began.
"I had to RUUUUUUUN backstage to my quick-change," she continued. "I grabbed this poor trash can, and boy, I destroyed it. It was bad! It was bad, Clint!"
As the audience laughed, Kelly noted, "We might have to edit this out, but I'm just sayin', it happens. What are you supposed to do?"
Don't worry, Kelly: That's why we love you. We think.
Liam Payne shares the advice he'd give to his younger self, "I would have avoided that stage"
Nathan Congleton/NBC/NBCU Photo Bank via Getty ImagesIt's been over a decade since Liam Payne shot to stardom as part of the pop band One Direction and he's learned a lot since then.
Speaking with Glamour UK, the 27-year-old singer opened up about the advice he would give to his younger self at the beginning of his career.
"I think just have more fun and relax a little bit," the "Strip That Down" singer shared. "I think I was a very serious child, one of those man-childs, I was a man in a child's body pretty early on."
"And I think I would have avoided that stage, to be honest with you," he added. "To enter One Direction as that difficult, because it just meant that I got completely a different job to everybody else."
Essentially he was the "grown-up," which Liam called "boring."
"I should have just larked around and thrown plates out the window and stuff," he continued and when asked if that meant more rock and roll, he clarified, "Well, I mean at the start, and then later on a bit less rock and roll."

Taylor Swift's 'Fearless (Taylor's Version)' Is Here: Five Fascinating Facts
Beth GarrabrantTaylor Swift’s hotly anticipated re-recording of her 2008 album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), arrives April 9. Here are five fascinating facts about the project:
5. Taylor is re-recording her albums because she was famously unable to buy back the master recordings of her first six albums from her former record label. The ownership of those masters then changed hands several times, but after failing to reach a deal, Taylor decided to simply re-record the albums. By offering fans new versions of those songs, she's literally taking money out of the pockets of the executives who now have the rights to her work.
4. Fearless (Taylor’s Version)features 27 tracks: Re-recordings of the original album’s 13 songs, six songs from the Fearless Platinum Edition, the movie soundtrack-only song "Today Was a Fairy Tale," six never-before-released “From the Vault” songs, and a remix of "Love Story (Taylor's Version)."
3. Taylor had her original duet partner on the song "Breathe," Colbie Caillat, return to re-record that song for the project. She also invited her country superstar friends Maren Morris and Keith Urban to add vocals to a few of the “From the Vault” songs. She plans to add "From the Vault" extras to all of her re-recorded albums.
2. The original version of Fearless has sold more than 10 million copies since its release in 2008. It features the hits "Love Story," "You Belong With Me," "Fifteen" and "White Horse."
1. Fearless was named Album of the Year at the 2010 Grammy Awards, making Taylor, at age 20, the youngest artist ever to win that award. Her record stood until 2020, when 18-year-old Billie Eilish broke it with her album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?
You cracked the codes and guessed all the From The Vault titles. 👏👏👏 Here’s the full track list, my friends. pic.twitter.com/lC3awlRmm2
Glass Animals: Pop success of "Heat Waves" is a "lovely surprise"
Pooneh GhanaBritish band Glass Animals has been releasing records since 2012, but their current single "Heat Waves" is their first-ever to make it onto Billboard's Hot 100 chart, not to mention their first on Billboard's Pop Airplay chart. And nobody is more surprised by the song's success than, well...the members of Glass Animals themselves.
"This song being on these pop radio stations is just such a surprise," says Glass Animals drummer Joe Seaward. "Everything's such a lovely surprise. You just never feel jaded, I think, is the nice thing, 'cause everything's always a bonus."
The band's frontman, Dave Bayley, tells ABC Audio why the success of "Heat Waves" -- coming as it did in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic -- means a "huge amount" to the band.
"We haven't actually been able to go overseas, but this song has kind of traveled and sort of done that for us," he notes. "We feel very lucky to have had that, it's pretty amazing."
As for why "Heat Waves" has become their breakthrough hit, Joe believes it's because the song's combination of "upbeat, exciting music" and "remorseful, mournful lyrics" reflects our present moment in time.
"It's quite sad," notes Joe. "I think that that resonates quite strongly with what's been happening to people in the last year."
"Heat Waves" appears on Glass Animals' new album, Dreamland, a concept album about Dave Bayley's childhood. He's hoping that new fans who've discovered the band through "Heat Waves" will now be inspired to give Dreamland a try.
"Maybe it'll lead people to listen to the album, which was very much written and made as an entire entity, as an entire world," says Dave, adding, "I think you can say a lot more when an actual album is greater than the sum of its parts."
Hear Ashe's new Beach Boys-channeling song "I'm Fine"
Dana TrippeOne of Ashe's main influences is the legendary pop group The Beach Boys, and you can hear an echo of their style in the upbeat bop of a chorus on her new single, "I'm Fine," the latest track from her upcoming debut album Ashlyn.
“'I'm Fine' is about having that one person in your life that, when you're trying to fake it and you're trying to say, ‘Oh, no, I'm doing okay,’ it's having that one person who says: ‘I know you're not okay. You can't pretend with me,’" Ashe explains of the song.
She adds, "I have a couple people in my life that can always call me out when I'm like, ‘Oh, I'm fine.’ And, yeah, those are the people we need in our lives.”
In addition to "I'm Fine," Ashlyn also features Ashe's hit "Moral of the Story" and her current duet with FINNEAS, "Till Forever Falls Apart." It's out May 7.
Ashe was just nominated for Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist 2021 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Here's who gave Jennifer Lopez the iconic nickname "J.Lo"
Carlos Alvarez/Getty ImagesBelieve it or not, Jennifer Lopez isn't the one who came up with her now-iconic nickname "J.Lo."
In an upcoming issue ofInStyle the 51-year-old revealed that the moniker was given to her by late rapper and record executive Heavy D while she was working on her first studio album, On The 6, which was released in June of, 1999.
"The name J.Lo came from Heavy D," she explained. "He used to come by the studio for my first album and would call me Jenny-Lo, Jennifer-Lo, or J.Lo."
However, Jennifer believes that the nickname really caught on after she made it the name of her second album.
"When I was doing my second album, I decided to call it J.Lo and I believe that's when it really stuck!" she said.
In the same interview, Jennifer's ex-husband Marc Anthony, the father of her twins Max and Emme, praises his former wife to the skies.
"The thing about Jennifer is her ability to see and understand things before they happen. Before she even brings an idea up, she has visualized it a thousand times. And if anyone says it might not be the greatest idea, she'll say, 'You just don't see it yet,'" he says. "Nine times out of 10, she'll nail it."
Marc also describes Jen as "the first one in the room and the last to leave," as well as "the hardest worker I've ever met."
"When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since," he adds. "I learned so much from her. She's the original!"

Demi Lovato opens up on her struggle with "survivor's guilt" for surviving overdose
Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicDemi Lovato, like many, is praying for famed rapper DMX. The "Party Up (Up in Here)" artist was rushed to the hospital Friday, where he remains on life support, after suffering a heart attack brought on by an apparent drug overdose.
Lovato says the headlines brought her right back to 2018, the year when her own drug addiction nearly killed her.
Speaking Wednesday with TMZ Live, the "Anyone" singer admitted that she continues to struggle with survivor's guilt.
"Anytime that I see somebody OD or even pass away that's in the public eye, I immediately think, 'That could've been you had you not been putting all this work in the last couple of years of your life,'" the 28-year-old confessed.
Lovato continued, "There's times where I've even talked about feeling survivor's guilt because you do ask yourself, 'Why am I still here, and why are others not?'"
The Grammy nominee admits it has been "challenging" to overcome those intrusive thoughts, but she has found a way to acknowledge them without harming her mental health.
"Ultimately I had to realize that every day is a day that someone else doesn't get," she said. "Every day that I'm here on this earth is a day that I need to be counting my blessings for and just being appreciative and grateful for."
Framing her thoughts like that, she says, "Makes me want to live the best life I can possibly live knowing that others didn't get the same chance that I did."
Lovato, who is working on her own sobriety, confronts her near-fatal overdose in the YouTube docuseries Dancing With the Devil, which is streaming now.
Olivia Rodrigo spills "Deja Vu" secrets: "I've never watched 'Glee'"
Stefan KohliThe lyrics of Olivia Rodrigo's new single "Deja Vu" are so specific, you really believe that she and her ex-boyfriend actually did do all those things she sings about in the song, before her ex went on to do them with his current girlfriend. But surprise -- most of it was completely made up.
Take that line "Watching reruns of Glee/Bein' annoying, singin’ in harmony" -- super-specific, right? Yes, but completely not true.
As Olivia and her co-writer and producer Dan Nigro admit in Rolling Stone's The Breakdown video series, "Neither of us have ever, like, watched Glee! But [when we were writing the song], we were like, 'Watching reruns of Glee' -- heck yeah!"
And if you thought Olivia was a huge fan of Billy Joel because of that line "Play her piano, but she doesn't know/That I was the one who taught you Billy Joel" -- think again.
"Dan actually came up with the Billy Joel lyric...which is probably my favorite lyric," Olivia admits.
"Just trying to make Long Island represent as much as possible in this," confesses Dan -- who, like Billy Joel, is from Long Island, NY.
But there is some truth to the lyrics: Olivia's favorite ice cream flavor is, indeed, strawberry.
So if Olivia didn't live "Deja Vu," what inspired it? She says she simply had the line "when she's with you/do you get deja vu" written down in her phone.
"I get deja vu all the time, and I think it's a really interesting phenomenon," she explains. "And so I thought it would be a cool way to talk about when you break up with someone and they move on -- sometimes you watch them on social media or whatever, and they're living the same life that you lived, with another partner."
Come play in his "Arcade": Dutch star Duncan Laurence's single isn't a losing game
Paul BellaartDutch artist Duncan Laurence is moving up the charts with his cinematic song "Arcade," with its memorable chorus, "Loving you is a losing game." He recently performed it on NBC's Today show and on Ellen DeGeneres, and tells ABC Audio he's delighted that American fans are just now discovering the track, which won the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.
"To see all the reactions from new people hearing it in the U.S., but also people who knew it already from things like Eurovision and stuff here in Europe and say, 'Finally it's happening!- it's just a mix of all sorts of reactions," Duncan tells ABC Audio. "It's just so much fun to read them. It's really encouraging."
Duncan, who was also on the Dutch version of The Voice, is actually surprised that "Arcade" has hung around long enough to become a hit in the U.S. -- but it's partly due to TikTok.
"After doing Eurovision...I kind of thought, like, that was the peak -- that was the function of 'Arcade,'" he recalls. "Like, 'It's done its part in my career, and now we can move on and make some new music.' And then all of a sudden out of the blue, there it was on TikTok! And it was shared so many times."
To Duncan, that means that he's done something important.
"It just showed that it resonates with people...people want to connect to it, want to share it, want to talk about it," he gushes. "And especially in these times where...it's not possible for me to do concerts...it's so encouraging to see everyone love the song and just share it. And it makes me feel like what I'm doing is right."

Ariana Grande's wedding: "Small & intimate," not "massive" after all?
Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagicDepending on which tabloid you believe, Ariana Grande is either planning a "massive" fairy-tale wedding to her fiancé, Dalton Gomez, or something "small and intimate."
Following reports by OK! magazine that the couple is planning a huge wedding, Us Weekly now claims the opposite. That publication's "insider" dishes that the two, who got engaged in December, want "a very small and intimate affair” that will take place in the next few months.
“Ariana and Dalton’s wedding will happen early summer,” the insider says. “They have been looking at venues in a few different cities but are most likely choosing California.”
However, the insider insists, "Nothing will officially happen until it’s safe," referring to COVID-19 restrictions.
Meanwhile, the two lovebirds are “beyond obsessed with each other,” the insider gushes, claiming that they spent "almost all their time together.”
“He loves to dote on her [and] he just makes her really happy," the source adds. "All of Ariana’s friends and family love him for her.”
Ari does seem like a woman in love: A few days ago, she posted a slideshow of herself cuddling with Dalton and wrote, "!!! my heart my person !!! thank u so much for being u."
Sia teams with NASA for "Floating Through Space" video
Stuart C. Wilson/Getty ImagesSia has teamed up with NASA for the music video to her appropriately titled song with David Guetta, “Floating Through Space.”
With the help of pop-up facts, the video highlights the upcoming launch of the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, which will be the first attempt at a powered, controlled flight of an aircraft on another planet.
The helicopter has already landed on Mars, attached to the belly of the Perseverance rover, which successfully landed on the planet February 18. NASA is targeting no earlier than April 8 for the first flight attempt, but a series of factors, including wind patterns, will determine an exact time for the launch.
The video includes footage of the aircraft being tested and readied for launch, as well as from the joyous moment when Perseverance landed on Mars.

Sophie Turner praises Taylor Swift's new song, while fans think it's about Sophie's husband
Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty ImagesTaylor Swift's new "From the Vault" release, "Mr. Perfectly Fine," has a celebrity fan in Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner -- even though fans are convinced the song's about Sophie's husband, Joe Jonas.
Posting the song on her Instagram stories, Sophie wrote, "It's not NOT a bop." Taylor reposted her message, adding the caption, "forever bending the knee for the [queen] of the North," in reference to Sophie's Game of Thrones character, Sansa Stark.
Meanwhile, because "Mr. Perfectly Fine" was written in 2008 -- around the time Taylor and Joe broke up -- some are advancing the theory that she wrote it about Joe. "sophie turner is a swiftie first and joe jonas’ wife second," one Swiftie tweeted. Another posted a picture of Sophie chugging wine in the stands of a sporting event while raising her hand, and captioned it, "sophie turner listening to taylor swift obliterate joe jonas with decade old songs."
Of course, Taylor and Joe have long made up; in her song "Invisible String," she alluded to this by singing about buying gifts for the babies of the boys who broke her heart.
"Mr. Perfectly Fine" is about how Taylor is heartbroken because a guy has dumped her, but he doesn't seem to be affected by the split. "It takes everything in me just to get up each day/But it’s wonderful to see that you’re okay,” she sings.
But in another line, Taylor sings, "Hello Mr. Casually cruel, Mr. Everything revolves around you’ / I’ve been Miss Misery since your goodbye and you’re Mr. Perfectly Fine.” Swifties know that she resurrected the line "casually cruel" for her 2012 song "All Too Well," which many believe is about Jake Gyllenhaal. That's why some people think this song is actually about him, and not Joe Jonas -- but Taylor will never tell.
